November 2020: My Favorite Fall Trends
Fall is upon us. Well, unless you live in the South like me where in the morning you layer up and by noon you have discarded all of those clothes. Nevertheless, fall is upon us, and you can bet I’m pulling out my fall fashion when it dips below 60 degrees. There are currently hundreds of fall fashion trends, but we know they can’t all be hits. So, I thought I would share what my top three from the season are in hopes that it gets consistently cold enough so I can fully indulge.
Leather: it’s everywhere from shackets to straight leg pants to leggings. Walk in 5 different stores at your local mall or peruse online for 30 seconds and you won’t be able to escape it. I think a black leather jacket and straight leg pants are definitely good items to beef up your seasonal staples. For those whose style inspos include Kendall Jenner or Bella Hadid, expanding to different earth tone leather pants such as creams and burnt siennas styled with a white long sleeve button up, gold jewelry, and a hair clip can be an easy way to achieve their looks.
Puffer Jackets: I remember growing up and my mom making me put on my puffer coat for school and being upset I had to look like a blowfish for the day. Now I feel the exact opposite of little me who didn’t see the potential of the jacket. For those more into street style, puffer jackets paired with a sweatshirt, jeans, and converse have been one of my favorite looks this season. There is a never ending array of colors and streetwear styles I’ve seen with puffer jackets, but I’m personally more attracted to the earth tone colors.
Jewel Tones: As a person that prefers gold jewelry, the assurgence of jewel tone clothing was a trend I hopped on quickly. From monochromatic looks to pairings with earth tones (can you see a pattern), there are truly endless ways to wear jewel tones. My favorite has been emerald--my friends can attest that I have fallen head first into the green/emerald jewel-tone trend.
Most trends come and go, but I think these have a fighting chance of enduring seasonal changes and making it to Spring 2021 with us.
