Blushing Face (poem)

my love’s silver lids open to fiery eyes

 she awakens

 peeking through her starry sleep

a blush of pink, freckled violet, and dotted with scarlet

a curl of amber lip, with a soft ochre smile

her soft body gets up

soft sunshine through the sheets

flashing freckles make their way through her clouded slumber

bright and radiant, she lifts herself

approaching me like Helios’s chariot

a sunny embrace

a blushing face

like dawn-break in the morning

Remember the coolness and beauty of your night

While I become renewed in mine own light
