Love's in Her Feelings (poem)

you.
your hair, running through it
drives me insane.
your laugh, dances through the air
and nestles in my ears.
your smile, perfectly white
blares brightly at me.
your eyes twinkle with a gleam
no star could ever match.
And yet, when i try to hold you,
you run away,
like a witless rabbit,
and reality reminds me again
that you could never be mine.
but yet my heart 
ignores reality, and
only beats faster, whispering
to you, who’s now lost in the arms of others,
“i love you”​
