Farm Life
This summer I have been working on a farm. No, sadly there are no cows or chickens or anything like that, but calling it a “garden” just doesn’t do it justice. The farm consists of 36 raised beds and a greenhouse brimming with colorful flowers, bountiful produce, and insects galore.
It is no secret that I love to be outdoors, so it makes sense that the farm is a special place to me. When I am out there, I am able to feel a sense of peace and wonder as this small geographical area becomes a massive world of its own. It makes me take into account the perspective of it all because as a I traipse around the farm, the sunflowers tower over me, but the beetles and ants scuttle around in the wake of my footsteps.
The farm is a place I have found where I feel like I belong. It’s an intricate system in which all of the elements work together to create something beautiful, and I consider myself very lucky to be a part of it. Please enjoy these photos that I have taken this summer, and if you’d like to see more, I cover lots of farm content on my instagram stories @caro1inehalliday. The account is linked here.
