Feeling Like a Teen Drama?
It’s midnight. You don't want to sleep. Time for Netflix and Hulu. You browse through the categories, but nothing is quite juicy enough.
So here are my top 5 recommendations for TV Shows: Teen Dramas.
1. The Fosters (2013-2018)
Five seasons. Hot people. Episodes jammed with drama. What else could you ask for? This show is a massive family that consists of lesbian moms (Stef/Mom and Lena/Mama), Stef's biological son (Brandon), adopted twins (Marianna and Jesus), a fostered troubled youth and her younger brother (Callie and Jude), and many more (no spoilers!). This is one of my favorite shows, and I will recommend it until the day I die.
2. Gossip Girl (2007-2012)
I know what you're thinking. Yes, it is basic... but trust me! Granted, I watched this in middle school, but this show was (and still is) i-c-o-n-i-c. If you watch through season three, it is worth it. Definitely recommend. The series follows Dan, Nate, Chuck, Serena, and Blaire as they navigate life at their exclusive prep school on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. All the while, the self-proclaimed “Gossip Girl” stirs up scandals through anonymous messages that ultimately lead to heartbreak, fallouts, and messes that are left to others to clean up. Even after they graduate, Gossip Girl still persists, stronger than ever. Will she ever let up on her antics? Have fun watching to find out!
3. The Carrie Diaries (2013-2014)
Only two seasons and twenty-six episodes. The Carrie Diaries is a spin-off of Sex in the City featuring Carrie Bradshaw. This time though she’s a teenager, and we get to find out how she became the Carrie we all know and love (hint: it wasn't easy and had lots of drama). It’s so pure—and Austin Butler? Hello? I think yes! Watching this show was (and always will be) one of my best decisions yet. Have fun!
4. The Vampire Diaries (2009-2017)
Vampires. Damon Salvatore (if you stan Stefen, we can't be friends!). This show is especially juicy, with doppelgängers, vampires, werewolves, immunity rings, and more. Definitely one of my favorite shows. If you get through season two and five, you can do anything. I promise seasons three and eight will make it worth your while. Highly recommend.
5. The End of the F***ing World (2017-present)
Two angsty teens against the world take a road trip. I can't really say much more without giving away spoilers, but this show is amazing. So binge-worthy.

Teen Wolf (2011-2017)
Good Trouble (2019-present)
